Miss Southern Miss“My journey as a Golden Eagle has been one like no other. Southern Miss has impacted my life more than I could have ever imagined. I have been challenged to grow as an individual and have been inspired by so many to serve this place I call home; therefore, I feel truly honored and blessed to serve this amazing University as Miss Southern Miss.” |
Mr. Southern Miss“I am humbly thankful and blessed to be elected to serve as Mr. Southern Miss. I know that this title and position is so much bigger than myself. It’s about encouraging all Golden Eagles to be better and dream bigger. No, I am not the “traditional” student, but the beauty is that I can represent the non-traditional students and still turn it up like the traditional ones.” |
Senior Maid“I am overwhelmed with excitement! Being the Senior Maid this year is going to be an unforgettable experience and I am so honored to be a part of this year’s Homecoming Court. I hope that I will represent my senior class as a student with determination to succeed in all my endeavors while showing all my love for Southern Miss spirit.” |
Junior Maid“I’m honored and humbled to be chosen as the 2013 Junior Maid. I honestly didn’t expect to win because I was running against such strong candidates but I couldn’t be more excited to serve. I am so thankful for this opportunity and all of the support I received through the process.” |
Sophomore Maid“It is truly an honor and a privilege for me to be able to represent my class on the field. I’m mostly looking forward to experiencing my first USM game on the other side, but will miss dancing on the field as a Dixie Darling that day! I feel that it is important for the homecoming representatives to be well rounded both academically as well as socially. This is how I have found my home at USM.” |
Freshman Maid“I think I best represent the freshman class because of my love for Southern Miss. I want to be as involved as I can be and I want to give as much as I can to my school and I think that the freshman class feels the same way.” |
Homecoming Queen“I feel like being elected to serve as the 2013 Homecoming Queen is a huge blessing! To be granted this opportunity has made me happier than anybody will ever know. It showed me that hard work truly pays off. I want to thank my USM family so much for supporting me in my dreams of becoming Homecoming Queen!” |
Student Body Maid“When I came to school in 2010 I immediately got involved. I have made USM my top priority and have met as many students as I can. Our students have done everything in their power to leave USM better than they found it and I am thrilled to be able to represent our school in that way.” |
Gulf Coast Maid“I am thrilled and humbled that the student body at Southern Miss Gulf Coast felt that I was fit to receive this honor. I am excited to represent my fellow students’ enthusiasm for academic achievement, leadership and traditions unique to our campus. I can’t wait to replay my memories and create new ones at Southern Miss Homecoming 2013!” |
Graduate Maid“It is my goal as a graduate student to spread my Golden Eagle pride to all students. As graduate homecoming maid I will best represent graduate students by setting a positive example for undergraduate students by sharing my love for this special university. I will stay positive and treat everyone with equality! I love my Southern Miss!” |
