Dear Southern Miss Students,
What a blessing to receive over 6,000 pounds of food for our food pantry in the annual Southern Miss “Let’s SAAC Hunger” food drive! We are very grateful to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Josh DuPlantis, Dan Jacobs and all the Southern Miss students, faculty and staff who made this year’s event an overwhelming success.
The Edwards Street Fellowship Center food pantry typically serves around 1,000 families per month with emergency food bags, but the number of clients we serve has jumped dramatically since the November 1st reduction in SNAP (food stamp) benefits. Your generous donation makes a huge difference in our ability to continue serving our neighbors in need.
Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time to offer help and hope in our community.
With gratitude,
Ann McCullen
Executive Director
Edwards Street Fellowship Center
