An Evening with Clifton Taulbert was held in Bennett Auditorium at The University of Southern Mississippi Feb. 18, in honor of Black History Month. Taulbert, a native of the Mississippi Delta, has written 13 books and served as a guest professor at Harvard University. Currently Taulbert is the CEO and president of two companies. His lecture in Bennett Auditorium was well-received. He spoke of his life growing up in the Delta and how he managed to become the man he is today. He also urged college students to take responsibility for their actions and to participate in building their community for future generations.
