The Southern Miss Lady Eagles’ 2024-25 season schedule is fully set ahead of their 50th season of competitive play. Highlighted with the teams first matchup against the Memphis Tigers since their C-USA days since 2013, alongside a trip to the Bahamas for the first time since 2007 in the teams 12 game non-conference schedule.
The team will face off in one exhibition game against Mississippi College on Wednesday, October 30th before kicking off the regular season away against Bowling Green apart of the MAC-SBC Challenge before returning home to take on Blue Mountain Christian on November 7th before having their final game at home against William Carey on November 11th as the team will have a five-game stretch away from home.
Beginning on Friday, November 15th, the Lady Eagles will take on Southeastern before leaving for the Bahamas to take part in Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis in Paradise Island. The 3-day tournament consisting of teams such as Ball State, Baylor, Columbia, Indiana, North Carolina, Southern Miss, Texas A&M and Villanova. The Lady Eagles’ will return stateside on December 1st to take on the UAB Blazers for their first regular season meeting since 2022 for the two teams.
After a month away, the Lady Eagles will finally return to Reed Green as they’ll face off against Mississippi Valley State on December 5th, and then take on the Memphis Tigers on December 8th in what’s sure to be a long-awaited matchup which will lead into the final non-conference game against Missouri State on Friday, December 20th.
Beginning the slate of games, conference-wise, the Lady Eagles will kick off Sun Belt conference play away against Georgia State on December 29th, before back-to-back home games at Reed Green that’ll see the home opener against Old Dominion on January 2nd, and then App State on the 4th.
The Lady Eagles’ will have back to back road games in the state of Louisiana as they’ll see UL Monroe on January 9th, then the Ragin Cajuns’ of Lafayette on January 11th, before returning back home to take see UL Monroe at Reed Green on January 16th, then taking on South Alabama on January 18th as they’ll head back on the road to face off against James Madison on January 23rd before heading off to country roads in West Virginia to take on the Thundering Herd of Marshall on January 25rd and to close out the January slate of games the Lady Eagles’ will face off against the Bobcats of Texas State on January 30th.
Continuing on with the February slate which starts off with two home games as Southern Miss will take on Troy on February 1st, before facing off against Georgia Southern on February 5th which then leads into the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on February 8th, which the opponent is still to be named. The Lady Eagles’ will then head off on a four-game road trip starting in Jonesboro to face off against Arkansas State on February 12th, then to Troy to take on the Troy Trojans on February 15th, then South Alabama on February 19th, which will then see the road trip finished off on February 22nd.
The Lady Eagles’ will close out their season with a two-game home stand as they face off against Arkansas State on February 26th and close out the regular season against Louisiana Ragin Cajuns’ on February 28th.
