My food struggled to stay in my mouth as soon as my visual sense caught a gushing masterpiece step into the cafeteria line. At that moment, I munched slowly, never taking my eyes off her. The serenity of her dress and the symmetry of her smile caught me losing track of time and even forgetting I was retaking a test in the next few months. I began to imagine myself on various walks with her and how good our babies would look. If beauty was a person, she was definitely that and more. The fact that hers made me starstruck and nervous made her even more dangerous. God really took his time on her. Engrossed in a hopeless imagination, it took a gruesome budge from one of my friends to bring me back to consciousness just to realize I wasn’t the only victim of her objective beauty. Everyone had her eyes on her, and I couldn’t even blame them. She looked incredibly sweet. Rightly so, feasting on her with our eyes was the least we hopeless admirers could do to her. Unfortunately, my phone had to loudly remind me that I had to retake a test in a few. I wouldn’t mind failing it again if she was my invigilator. As I sulked on my way to my test, I couldn’t stop thinking of her. She probably inspired Doja Cat to sing her famous TikTok song – Candy. She was premium EYE CANDY!
As cringe as the above introduction is, that is a literal description of how most of us react when we set eyes on a beautiful, elegant, and presentable person. Everyone laments how there is almost no hack or cheat code in life. Let me be the first to tell you that “pretty privilege” is really prevalent. Eye Candy can be your cheat code if you make it yours. Ever wondered why tons of men watch the ESPN First Take show? No, it’s not only because of Stephen A’s world-class NBA commentary or Shannon Sharpe’s exquisite and comedic style of commentary or because of Molly’s excellent hosting skills. A major reason why they keep coming back may be the commentary; however, Molly’s subtle beautiful face plays a huge role. If Ariana Madix didn’t have surreal beauty, elegance, and vibrance, there’s no way she is hosting the Love Island Season 6 show on peacock (Ps: 10/10 recommend). If Ebuka Obi-Uchendu didn’t have his looks and poise, he’d be anywhere else but the grand stages of the Big Brother Nigeria Reality TV show. Of course, this is not to demean their miscellaneous attributes like their charisma and intelligence. However, it goes to show you that looking good and presentable is an incredible cheat code to life.
To take advantage of this cheat code, you must start by dressing how you want to be addressed. Do you wanna be addressed like a gambler, a thug, a thot, or a beautiful/handsome human being? You choose and dress how you would like to be addressed. The secret behind this underlying notion is that you teach people how to address you with the way you look and present yourself. If you look as serene and elegant as the girl in my introduction, then you will almost be treated like a queen, especially when you have a personality to match. If you look as presentable as Brad Pitt with an even sharper jawline and overall dashing look, not only will you have tons of women feasting on you with their eyes but will be accepted into grand stages because of that. Believe it or not, your looks and appearance could make you incredibly rich and famous. Don’t believe me? Ask Tom Brady’s ex.
Now, the point is not to follow all the looksmaxing trends on YouTube or mewing your jawline to look like a razor blade. The point is to inspire you to put more effort into how you look so you can attract positive energy into your life. As a college student, I would be lying if I said that impressing the opposite sex isn’t a subconscious thing that comes to mind when you look dapper or dashing. However, you want to look sharp to feel confident and ooze that charisma that can attract you to professional gigs and unlock new levels in life. Remember, you may be the most interesting person in the world, but if you look homeless, no one would care enough to know that you even exist. The point is to make the container attractive enough for people to want to know the content. You should look presentable enough for people to want to know you.
Don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for standing out with your appearance, You could attract so much by just looking phenomenal. If you doubt me, then Jeremy Ray Meeks (prisoner turned model) would like to have a word with you. Again, you teach people how to treat you. For starters, you can do that by looking presentable. You don’t have to grow broke trying to look like George Clooney or Kim Kardashian. You could grow rich by just learning to fit a few pieces together for free on YouTube. It would be nice to at least have people feast on you with their eyes. There aren’t many cheat codes to life, but mastering this is very close to one. As always, we are in this together. We Rise By Lifting Others!
