Coming off a 43-20 record and a 20th NCAA Tournament appearance last season, second year head baseball coach Christian Ostrander has announced the Golden Eagles 55 game schedule ahead of the 2025 season.
Featuring 31 home games, 22 away games, and 2 neutral, the Golden Eagles will open the season Feb.14-16 with a four-game series against Lafayette which will include a noon doubleheader on Saturday that marks the teams only scheduled twinbill of the 2025 season.
After a midweek showdown with Mississippi State at home on Tuesday, Feb.18, the Golden Eagles will play host to longtime rivals Louisiana Tech for a three-game series Feb. 21-23 before hitting the road to take on Ole Miss on Feb. 25.
The Golden Eagles will remain on the road as they will travel to Fort Worth, Texas to face off against TCU for a series Feb. 28-March 2. The Golden Eagles will again play Mississippi State March 4 before finishing up non-conference play against UNCW March 7-9.
The Golden Eagles continue their home stand March 11 as they will take on UTRGV on before beginning Sun Belt conference play at home against Old Dominion for a series March 14-16. The Golden Eagles will play host to South Alabama March 28-30, Georgia State April 17-19, Arkansas State May 2-4, and the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana May 9-11.
Road series for the Golden Eagles include Monroe, Louisiana against the ULM Warhawks March 21-23, Marshall April 4-6, Texas State April 11-13, App State April 25-27, and the Trojans of Troy May 15-17.
The top 10 teams from the regular season of Sun Belt play will meet in Montgomery, Alabama May 20-25 for the conference’s baseball championship tournament at Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Other notable non-conference contests include games against Tulane April 1 and April 22, Southeastern Louisiana April 23, New Orleans April 29, and midweek travel tilts against Alabama April 8 and Southeastern Louisiana April 15. Neutral site games include March 18 in Pearl, Mississippi where the Golden Eagles will take on Ole Miss at Trustmark Park, and March 25 at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi where Southern Miss will take on Nicholls.
