The Hub City Classic Car Show rolled into Hattiesburg, on Saturday, April 12, bringing car enthusiasts from across the region to the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center. The event showcased classic, custom, and exotic vehicles, offering a family-friendly atmosphere filled with vendors, entertainment, and automotive passion.
Organized by Spokes-N-Vogues and QVP Media, the first annual Hub City Classic Car Show welcomed a diverse lineup of vehicles, from vintage classics to high-performance muscle cars. The event ran from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing attendees plenty of time to admire the craftsmanship, history, and creativity behind each automobile.
The event featured over 100 vehicles, each telling its own unique story. Attendees were not only spectators but participants in the celebration. The event included a “People’s Choice” award, allowing visitors to vote for their favorite vehicle, fostering a sense of community involvement and appreciation for automotive craftsmanship.
“This show is about bringing people together through a shared love of cars,” said event organizer Quan Marks. “We wanted to create an experience where enthusiasts, families, and the community could come together and celebrate automotive culture.”
Beyond the cars, attendees enjoyed food vendors, merchandise booths, live entertainment, and a dedicated play area for children. Professional security ensured a safe and well-organized experience for all guests.
Hattiesburg resident Marcus Reed, who brought his family to the show for the first time, praised the event’s family-friendly atmosphere.
“We came to see the cars, but we stayed for the experience,” Reed said. “There’s something for everyone here.”
With its successful turnout, organizers hope to make the Hub City Classic Car Show a growing tradition. They reported a significant turnout, with thousands attending throughout the day. The event not only celebrated automotive culture but also boosted local businesses, with restaurants, hotels, and shops seeing increased patronage.
Attendees left with memories of shining chrome, bright paint, roaring engines, and a shared appreciation for automotive artistry. Whether a seasoned collector or a casual admirer, the Hub City Classic Car Show offered something for everyone, setting the stage for future gatherings in the years to come.
