Beginning in Sweden, and traveling all over the world, Icona Pop will make a stop in Hattiesburg to headline the 2014 Eaglepalooza.
“We’re so excited to have Icona Pop as our headliner,” said Jaycee Padgett, assistant director for Eaglepalooza. “The Eaglepalooza team has been working hard all summer preparing for the event, and I’m sure it will be an exciting, high-energy show.”
Icona Pop is a change of pace from Eaglepalooza headliners in the past. Gavin Snyder, a senior communication studies major and director of Eaglepalooza, said this act will be able to attract a different crowd than in years past to give everyone a chance to enjoy Eaglepalooza.
One unique aspect to the show this year is that instead of taking place on a Friday before a home football game, it is happening on a Saturday after a home football game.
“We just wanted to change it up this year to see how people would like it, and it worked out that the game that day is earlier. We want people to go to the game then Eaglepalooza after and just make a whole day of it,” Snyder said.
Eaglepalooza will also feature artists Five Knives and Lowell. Eaglepalooza will take place Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
