With the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival beginning this weekend, it seems only fitting to start getting ready for it. These days, spending warm spring weekends at a festival is almost a millennial right of passage. However, the New Orleans festival dates back to the 70s before they were the Instagram gold that they are today. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people make their way out to the New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Course to indulge in all of the food, music and culture that make a big easy music festival such a unique experience. This year the festival is expected to see its biggest crowds yet and will take over the city April 22-May 1.
