About a week before it was scheduled to be released, Marvel’s “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” trailer was leaked around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The original announcement for the trailer’s release was made Tuesday evening after “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” but the footage somehow made its way to the Web and is viewable via TinyPic.
Marvel fans were quick to respond with eagerness and excitement. Cinemablend’s Eric Eisenberg said in a Wednesday night post that the tone of the movie appeared to be much darker and raised a lot of questions. Joss Whedon returns as the director for this “Avengers” sequel, though the movie is anticipated to be very different from its predecessor. Robert Downey Jr.’s character Tony Stark seems to be in a less humorous mood.
Nonetheless, fans eagerly await the movie’s release on May 1, 2015.
