SMTV News kicked off its first live broadcast of Season 9, delivering campus, local, and national updates straight from the Charles Scarborough TV Studio in College Hall. Anchors Kennedi Drake and Gabby Cox led the broadcast, joined by Sophia Vitrano with the latest weather outlook and Alvia Walker with sports highlights.

Each week, SMTV student journalists report, film, write, and edit stories that matter to the Southern Miss community. Students also pitch special reports and new show ideas, allowing SMTV to grow its coverage to reflect the interests of the campus audience.
