US health officials verify first Ebola case in Dallas

According to the Associated Press, a patient being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas has tested positive for Ebola. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the case announced Tuesday and this is the first Ebola virus case diagnosed in the U.S.

Hospitals officials said the unidentified patient is being kept in isolation and they are following CDC recommendations to keep doctors, staff and patients safe, according to the Associated Press.
