The 49er offense came to life as 49er guard Pierria Henry tied the game at 12 and Keyshawn Woods hit a huge jump shot that set the tone for the remainder of the half as Charlotte limited the Golden Eagles from scoring another basket over the next 7:27.

The Golden Eagles shot a dismal 36 percent from the floor in the first half while the 49ers shot 54 percent, finishing on an 18-0 run to take a 36-21 lead at the half.

Charlotte maintained a lead by a margin of 20 points throughout the majority of the second half. For the game, the Golden Eagles shot 32 percent from the field while the 49ers shot 47 percent.

The 49ers outrebounded Southern Miss 46-28, outscored the Golden Eagles in points in the paint 38-20 and 33 of their 71 points came from players off the bench.
